What is the Difference?
What is the difference between a Hill Rom TotalCare Sport 2 bed and a
Hill Rom P3200 Versacare hospital bed model?
Both beds are top of the line hospital beds made by Hill Rom with air mattress systems
included and built into the bed frame but there are some basic differences about the
beds that make them a little different.
1. Height from floor to top of the mattress
The P3200 Versacare bed sits 13 inches from bed pan to floor and with mattress
is only about 15 inches off the groud. The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport 1 and
Sport 2 bed frame are 17 inches from bed pan to floor and with mattress are about
24 inches tall total.
2. Lateral Rotation on Mattress
The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport can be set to rotate for up to 18 hours
The Hill Rom P3200 Versacare can turn the patient manually by pressing button
on the side of the bed. If you need continuous lateral patient turning the
Hill Rom TotalCare Sport bed is a better option.
3. Chair Position – Differences
The Hill Rom P3200 Versacare bed has a chair position where the feet go down
45 degrees however it is not for patient transition it is for comfort and sitting upright.
The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport 2 has a full chair position where the feet of
the patient touch the ground and that feature can be used for patient transition.
4. Hill Rom TotalCare Sport 2 Bed has “Percussion – Vibration” Feature
The Hill Rom P1900 TotalCare Sport bed has a”Percussion – Vibration” feature
that helps break up upper respiratory congestion. This is a feature that the
TotalCare Sport bed offers that the Versacare bed and air mattress system does not have.
These two beds are made to treat patients with bed sores, skin ulcers or for patients
at risk of getting bed sores and skin ulcers. We sell both of these beds refurbished and
